History of Bundanoon Lodge
Originally known as Park Lodge, this guest house has been welcoming visitors since 1932. At that time, it was surrounded by farmland and a 9-hole golf course, providing city families with a peaceful escape to the countryside. In 1943, it was converted into self-contained flats. However, in 1949, a fire caused by a faulty coke oven devastated half of the property. The flats were rebuilt and continued to be rented until 1959, when Park Lodge transitioned back to a working farm.
In 2004, the guest suites and a new extension were constructed, although the purpose of the extension remains somewhat unclear, with little known about its previous use. In 2010, following the subdivision of the surrounding farmland and years of decline, Graeme and Marie-Louise Corin purchased the remaining land and building. This enterprising couple dedicated their time, money, and energy to restoring the Lodge into a successful B&B.
In October 2016, Bundanoon Lodge was acquired by Ruth Moncrieff, who continues to uphold its legacy as a welcoming and charming retreat.
